Owners and operators of D2246, 37037 "Loch Treig" and 50002 "Superb"

Gala 2005 - Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 June 2005

Following on from the success of the SDR 2004 Gala, the event organisers staged an even more ambitious Gala in 2005.  The theme for the Gala was English Electric, BR Blue in the 1980's.  The event highlights were the appearance of the DPS's Class 55, 55019 Royal Highland Fusilier and HNRC's Class 20's, 20096 and 20905 making a welcome visit from their Barrow Hill base.  The Society's Class 37, 37037 was making her first public runs ex works in BR Blue with a white stripe and "Scotty Dogs" and D2246 made several popular runs on a 4 coach passenger working.

Our friends from Freightliner Heavy Haul worked the convoy down from Barrow Hill with 47150 which was stabled at Totnes for the event.
